What's in the game
Every capture is a fight
Pieces hop, lean and turn to face each other. Each kind knows three attacks — a bull charge, a joust, a judgment beam, a cannon shot, a frost nova, a rain of golden swords — and the loser breaks into real fragments that tumble across the board.
Three armies
Carved Staunton marble; a medieval army of men-at-arms, knights on horseback, bishops on their thrones and a gatehouse with a dragon inside; and the aliens: little green men, flying saucers and big-brained psychics floating in glass jars.
The fallen come back
A captured piece returns as a translucent ghost beside the board, watches the rest of the game and cheers its side on.
Music for every piece
Three themes for every piece in every army — concert-hall classical, early music from the castle, and 1950s science fiction with a theremin — and when a piece moves, its music takes over.
Play your way
Against the computer at five strengths, a friend on the same screen, a friend online with a link — or anyone online in rated games with clocks, a rating and a leaderboard.
